Even if you only spend a short time in Chiang Mai province, you will understand that northern Thailand has a lot of beauty in store. On this varied day tour, we visit a nice palette of sights. Together, they give a fine impression of this beautiful part of Thailand.

The literal highlight is Doi Inthanon, Thailand's highest mountain at 2565 meters. Close to the summit are two iconic stupas. The mountain is named after the last king of Chiang Mai who already understood that you should cherish and protect nature. Doi Inthanon national park has a lot of variety in its lush geography full of rainforest, mixed forest and pine forest. Many of these can be seen from the summit. The view from the mountain is amazing.

Before you reach this peak, you've already been to Chom Thong to visit an ancient temple with murals, and at the 100-meter-high Mae Klang waterfall, for many the first introduction to Doi Inthanon National park.

After Doi Inthanon, it is time for lunch. After this you will visit a village of the Karen, one of Northern Thailand's distinctive minorities. They are originally from Burma. The last stop is at the picturesque Wachirathan waterfall. Wachirathan (literally, Diamond Creek) flows down a granite slope through several rock plateaus over 80 meters.
