After a short meet and great at your hotel it is time to make our way to the Khao Lak National Park. Before we come to the real highlights of the day, we will visit a pineapple farm and you have a chance to pay a visit to the monkey cave temple, Wat Suwanna Khuha. Here a troop of these naughty little animals has resided for many years and become part of the temple grounds. Once we arrive in Khao Lak national park, it’s time to meet your transport; a majestically big elephant will effortlessly take you on his back for a true jungle trek through this beautiful and unspoiled tropical landscape. Next we will visit the Tsunami museum, dedicated to the horrible tragedy that took place here on Boxing Day 2004.
In the afternoon we will have lunch at a local restaurant near the sea.
After lunch you will proceed to a turtle project at Tablama. They strive to protect the natural habitat of the green sea turtle at Khao Lak and try to increase their population. After this interesting visit you’ll have a chance to relax at a year round waterfall from where we will start bamboo rafting along the river. Before we take you back to your hotel we have a short stop at an interesting fruit shop where you can update your knowledge on the various kinds of tropic fruit that grow in the fertile southern part of Thailand.
