Ang Thong National Marine Park is a beautiful archipelago of some 42 islands, located on the western side of Koh Samui and a must visit if you are a fan of easy snorkeling, sea kayaking and lots of pristine beaches. Furthermore, if you are up for it, you can make a short hike that will reward you with one of the best views in all of Thailand!
Today you will see caves, hidden lagoons, and white sandy beaches. Most of the parks limestone islands have steep coasts and bizarre rock formations. The overhanging cliffs, caves and tunnels can be explored by kayak (included). Lunch is included on the main island and of course you will have plenty of time to snorkel & swim among the shallow coral gardens. Not for the faint of heart, but a 45-minute hike will take you to the summit of the main island for an absolutely breathtakingly beautiful view over the region. Be sure to bring appropriate footwear and some drinking water.
As we embark on the ride back to Koh Samui, keep your eyes open, if you are lucky, you might catch a school of flying fish jumping out of the water or maybe even a few dolphins playing in the afternoon sun.
